Bandhavgarh, the world known wildlife  tiger reserve in Madhya Pradesh, India. This national park also called land of tigers, this is the place you may pursue your dream to spot  the big cat roaming around the jungle (or may be walking by you) as Bandhavgarh has the maximum chances to see the tiger because of higher tiger density.

THE DAY I DECIDED TO GO FOR TIGER SAFARI

After enjoying six beachy days of goa trip, I was sitting by my garden (that’s where I use to sit around) thinking of my next adventure trip, sipping the cup of tea with biscuit having some print of tiger on it, that print buzz me up !and then the thought of spotting the tiger goes by mind as I have never seen the tiger in my life before, and I decided to go for tiger safari, with the zest of watching the tiger I started searching for best tiger reserve in my state. Yes I belongs to Bhopal, Madhya pradesh among six of  them namely Panna, Kanha, Pench , Bandhavgarh, Satpura and Sanjay tiger reserve, I choose to head towards Bandhavgarh, HAPPY ME !soon after, I made all the reservations like train reservation (though I wanted to have a road trip by car but poor me, because the distance between Bhopal to Bandhavgarh is around 500 kilometers ,that distance forced me to opt for traveling by train), resort booking and safari booking etc.

Avid tiger safari lover usually do atleast two safari a day so I did, one in the very morning(6:30am-11 am) second in the evening(3pm-7pm) total 6 safaris I have done in three days. One more thing I have to tell you that there are three zones of tiger safari that is Tala, Magadhi and Khitauli. Among them Tala is the zone having higher chances to spot the tigers so I decided to go with Tala zone. LUCKY ME! I got four safaris of Tala zone and two of Magadhi, Khitauli has the least chances to spot the big cats.

My train was from Bhopal to Jabalpur and then I have to go by a cab which was pre booked by resort manager. After reaching Jabalpur I called up the cab driver and you know what was his name????? His name was raja !:)can you believe that? I giggled when the he told me his name is raja, I get by heart the movie”raja hindustani”;) Soon he came up  with the cab took me towards my resort. I reached there by 7 pm., after making some check-in formalities the servant load up my luggage n headed towards the villa which I have booked for stay, as soon as I reached the villa I took shower and putted my sneakers on and escaped the villa, have took the look around the resort and after taking my dinner I headed to bed and slept, as I have to get up early in the morning.

The next morning I woke with the zeal inside me,freshen up,took shower n got ready for my morning safari. As soon as I reached outside the reception area, a driver with a guide sitting in the jeep waiting for me(I was 10 min late to reach there;).i got in the jeep and headed towards my adventure journey of Bandhavgarh national park.

One more time have gone through some formalities regarding park safari, I was excited though so I did not mind about all this. After about 20 minutes of this process we now entered the Tala gate which I have chosen for tiger site seeing, (the best zone for tiger site seeing). 

 

We started get lost in to the jungle in search of tigers, in my 3 hours of journey I did not spot any tiger all I have seen was some Birds, Swamp Deers and  Monkeys around. I came back to the villa n waiting for the evening safari which was at 3 pm, after taking my lunch, I again slept for some time n got up by 2 pm. Now again it’s time to spot the tiger and again I got disappointed as I did not find any tiger there.

The second day I again did not met Mangu, eagerly I was waiting for my evening safari, headed towards the park, the scorchy sun on my head I was sweating like a water fall:>

 I surprisingly listened some sound I asked the guide what is the sound about he told me that’s a call for us that tiger is around us, my elation was on high, I opened up my camera’s   cap to capture my biggest  dream of life time and finally the time has come. I was watching mangu coming across the road in front of our jeep, I literally was astonished by his attitude, he was walking across the road without any fear in his eyes. That’s how I met Mangu. Really the best experience of  my life !!
